Accessibility Statement
Last reviewed: 9 October 2026 · 1st Step Consulting Ltd trading as Immigration Visa Expert
Our commitment
1st Step Consulting Ltd trading as Immigration Visa Expert aims to make https://immigrationvisaexpert.com/ usable by as many people as reasonably possible, including disabled visitors, prospective clients and learners. We recognise the importance of accessible immigration information, clear communication, keyboard navigation, readable content and reasonable adjustments in delivering services.
We are a private-sector business. The public-sector accessibility statement regime should not be represented as automatically applying to this Website. We nevertheless take account of relevant equality duties, good practice and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) when improving the site.
1. Accessibility status
A complete, independently verified WCAG 2.2 AA conformity audit has not been established for this statement. We therefore do not claim that the entire Website is fully conformant with WCAG 2.2 AA. We intend to assess key user journeys and address identifiable barriers in a proportionate and prioritised way.
Any future statement of full or partial conformity should be based on documented testing, the affected pages and evidence of unresolved issues rather than assumption.
2. Areas being assessed and improved
Our accessibility review will prioritise: (a) contact and consultation forms, labels and error messages; (b) keyboard navigation and visible focus; (c) readable headings, link names and colour contrast; (d) mobile zoom and responsive layout; (e) screen-reader structure and alternative text; (f) training enrolment and payment processes; (g) videos, live online teaching and documents; and (h) user control of cookie preferences.
Some external tools, payment pages, video meetings, embedded content or historic documents may be governed by the accessibility arrangements of their respective providers. We will use reasonable efforts to address issues within our control and to provide alternatives where appropriate.
3. Request an accessible alternative
If you cannot access a page, form, course resource or communication because of a disability or assistive-technology issue, please contact info@immigrationvisaexpert.com with the page address, the problem encountered, and the alternative format or adjustment you would find useful. You do not need to disclose a diagnosis to make a reasonable adjustment request.
Where reasonably practicable, we can discuss alternatives such as a telephone explanation, a simpler text version, assistance completing an enquiry, an accessible electronic document or different communication arrangements. Availability and timing depend on the material and needs, and no part of this statement removes rights under applicable law.
4. Reporting a problem
Email info@immigrationvisaexpert.com with ‘Accessibility’ in the subject line. If possible, describe the page, device or browser and the action you could not complete. Screenshots can be useful but are not required. We aim to acknowledge the request within five working days and explain proposed next steps as soon as reasonably possible.
5. Feedback, complaints and rights
We welcome feedback on accessibility, particularly barriers affecting immigration deadlines, access to services or paid training. If you are dissatisfied with our response, you may use our Complaints Handling Procedure. Concerns about discrimination or accessibility may engage rights and remedies under the Equality Act 2010; our policy does not limit any such rights.
6. Testing and future updates
The Website should be reviewed with automated and manual tests, including keyboard-only use, relevant screen-reader testing, accessible zoom and mobile checks. Findings and remediation actions should be documented by the website team, prioritising serious access barriers. This statement should be updated following substantive testing, a redesign or a material change in accessibility status.
