A Full Day Built Around Exam Performance
This course is for candidates who already have some Level 1 knowledge and now need to turn that knowledge into better assessment performance.
Rather than reteaching the whole syllabus, the day concentrates on exam application: how to recognise the issue in a scenario, locate the relevant rule, eliminate weak MCQ options, structure written answers and manage your time under assessment conditions.

Current Level 1 assessment focus
Prepare for Both MCQs and Scenario-Based Questions
Current IAA guidance describes the Level 1 assessment as two sections: a 20-question multiple-choice exercise and scenario-based questions requiring written answers. Both sections must be passed.
20 MCQs
The current marking scheme sets a 60% pass mark for the multiple-choice section — 12 correct answers out of 20.
Scenario-Based Written Answers
The scenario section also has a 60% pass mark, so written application of the law matters just as much as MCQ recall.
Resource-Book Familiarity
Practise locating relevant material quickly. The IAA specifically advises candidates to become familiar with the exam resource book before assessment.
Assessment arrangements can change: the IAA controls competence assessments, dates, delivery arrangements and official candidate instructions. Always check the latest IAA guidance and current assessment notices before relying on any exam information.

This is an independent preparation course. It can strengthen knowledge and exam technique, but no training provider can guarantee an assessment pass.
Who is the One-Day Intensive best suited to?
It is best for learners who have already studied the Level 1 syllabus or completed substantive training and now want concentrated revision, question practice and exam technique before assessment.
Does the course focus on scenario-based questions?
Yes. Scenario-based written questions are a major part of the day. You will practise identifying issues, locating the relevant rule, applying the facts and structuring a concise answer.
Will we practise MCQs?
Yes. The live course includes selected MCQ drills and trainer-led review of the reasoning behind the answers.
Is there a mock test?
Yes. The course includes a timed mock or mock-style assessment exercise followed by review and feedback on approach, time management and remaining revision priorities.
Does the £375 fee include the 500+ MCQ practice bank?
No. The dedicated 500+ MCQ practice subscription is a separate product. The One-Day Intensive includes selected MCQ practice but is primarily a live trainer-led revision and exam-technique course.
Will the course cover every Level 1 chapter in detail?
No. A one-day intensive is not intended to replace substantive Level 1 teaching. The trainer will revisit selected high-value topics and use them to practise exam application and question technique.
Can the course guarantee I pass the assessment?
No. The course is designed to strengthen preparation, identify weaknesses and improve exam technique, but your result depends on your knowledge, preparation and performance in the official assessment.
What should I do before attending?
Review the current IAA Level 1 syllabus and resource book, identify your weaker chapters and, if possible, attempt an official sample paper under timed conditions so you arrive knowing where you need the most help.
