Copyright & Intellectual Property Notice
Last reviewed: 9 October 2026 · 1st Step Consulting Ltd trading as Immigration Visa Expert
Ownership and application
This notice concerns intellectual property appearing on https://immigrationvisaexpert.com/ and in paid or free content issued by 1st Step Consulting Ltd trading as Immigration Visa Expert (the Firm). It supplements the Website Terms of Use and Training Course Terms, but does not replace any rights granted by a separate written licence or any permitted use under applicable copyright law.
Unless a specific credit or licence states otherwise, the Firm or its licensors own the intellectual property in original Website text, service guides, illustrations, logos, layout elements, course structures, teaching notes, worksheets, assessment-preparation questions, MCQ explanations, audiovisual material and other original resources.
1. Branding and trading name
Immigration Visa Expert is a trading name of 1st Step Consulting Ltd. The brand name, distinctive visual identity and associated goodwill may be protected by applicable intellectual property and passing-off laws. Nothing in this statement claims a registered trade mark where no registration has been verified.
You must not use our branding or logos to suggest that you are connected with, appointed by, partnered with or endorsed by the Firm unless we have authorised that use in writing. Do not create confusingly similar branded websites, social accounts or promotional material.
2. Personal and lawful reference use
Visitors may read, link to, bookmark and print reasonable portions of public pages for private, non-commercial reference. They may quote limited portions where permitted by law, subject to any legal requirements of fairness, acknowledgement or attribution. This notice does not exclude lawful exceptions such as fair dealing, criticism, review, quotation or other mandatory rights.
3. Commercial reproduction and reuse
Except under a lawful exception or separate written licence, you must not reproduce substantial original Website content in competing or commercial products; publish an imitation or mirrored website; sell, sublicense or syndicate our text, graphics or guides; systematically scrape or harvest databases; or remove attribution, ownership or rights-management information.
If you wish to reproduce materials for a business, school, charity, training provider or professional practice, request a commercial licence in writing from info@immigrationvisaexpert.com. We may grant, refuse or set fair commercial conditions for permission at our discretion, subject to applicable law.
4. Training materials and MCQ subscriptions
A learner purchasing an individual course or question-bank subscription receives only the personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable access rights expressly described in the applicable Training Course Terms and order confirmation. Access does not transfer ownership of the training resources or permit a corporate group licence.
Absent a written licence or legal exception, users must not distribute notes or recordings, share passwords, replicate the question bank or answer explanations, provide paid access to third parties, resell course resources or upload substantial materials to websites, repositories or outside generative-AI services for training or model fine-tuning.
5. Official and third-party content
Legislation, official Home Office or Immigration Advice Authority guidance, government logos, court materials, third-party graphics and other external content belong to their respective rights holders or are subject to their published licensing arrangements. The Firm does not claim ownership of those external materials merely because we cite, summarise or link to them.
UK Crown copyright material and other official resources may carry an Open Government Licence or separate exceptions; users should comply with the applicable original terms. Third-party brand names appearing on our Website identify their owners and do not signify sponsorship or approval.
6. Copyright complaints and correction requests
If you believe content published by us infringes your intellectual property, send an email headed ‘Intellectual Property Notice’ to info@immigrationvisaexpert.com. Please provide your identity and contact details, the original protected material, the exact allegedly infringing page or resource, grounds of ownership or authority, and the remedy requested.
We will consider sufficiently particularised notices promptly, may request verification, and may remove, amend or restrict content where justified. Deliberately false allegations may themselves have legal consequences. We may refer disputed matters to independent legal advisers.
8. No implied endorsement or professional licence
A link to our pages, a training certificate of attendance or possession of our notes does not confer permission to trade under our name, provide regulated immigration advice, represent the Firm or claim professional approval by the IAA. The legal right to offer regulated immigration advice depends on current authorisation and applicable law, not on training attendance.
9. Reservation of rights and applicable law
All rights not expressly licensed remain reserved to the lawful owner. Any inconsistency with mandatory UK intellectual property, consumer or data protection law is resolved in favour of the applicable law. The governing law for this notice is that of England and Wales, subject to relevant mandatory protections and jurisdictional rules.
